The decision to buy a house is an exciting and yet sometimes a scary one. You don’t want to regret your decision but you also don’t want to be roped into a mortgage payment that you can’t afford. This is why the very first step to buying a home is to find out how much you can afford. Before even looking at homes find a lender you trust and figure out exactly how much each month you can afford in a monthly mortgage payment. That mortgage payment should include property taxes, homeowners insurance, and sometimes private mortgage insurance depending on the type of loan you choose. By determining how much each month you can spend you get a better idea of the price range in which to look.
Armed with a preapproval loan letter, you can confidently view homes and make offers on properties you feel comfortable with, love, and fit your lifestyle and taste. But, another major component to buying a home is using your own a buyer representation. Having an agent by your side working on your behalf for your interests saves you money, negotiates on your behalf, and help you find the home you love at a price you can afford. It costs you nothing to use a buyers agent and as your buyers agent I have no hidden agenda to sell one home over another. My goal is to find you the best home for your needs and your budget.
Once we have a preapproval letter, you have found a home you want to make an offer on, we will write up a solid, tight offer and negotiate with sellers and the listing agent to an agreed-upon price and terms. From there, the transaction moves on to inspection. I can walk you through this entire process offering suggestions, negotiations on the inspection report, and clarification on any issues that might arise during the process. Once your inspection passes the transaction moves on to pending and finally closing. Once you have signed all the documents, monies are dispersed and deeds are recorded I am proud to hand you the keys to your new home. Let’s get started today!
